I GOT THIS GREAT LETTER FROM DAVE TAYLOR THE OTHER DAY.

Hi Andy and Dave I just got home from a trip to St Jean de Matha.
I bought a 1972 Ski Bec from a young guy mainly for parts that I found on the FQMA site.

I stopped in Drummondville to let Diane do some shopping and I decided to check out my purchase a little more closely
and I found a name and address on the dash of a guy from Melbourne Qc, which is now part of Richmond Qc.

Stopped at my brothers and we started checking under the hood and the serial plaque.
It had an extra aluminum plate installed under the motor mounts which me and Andy had done to several of the
Ski Bec RS 312 single cylinder models.  Come to find out this was the very first Ski Bec that I had sold.

How in the world it ended up in St Jean de Matha and that I found and bought it is  my "Christmas Miracle".
This will definitely be a special project now and not a parts sled.

Just had to let you guys know  because you understand how exciting this crazy hobby  (obsession) can be.

I bought the machine  with 2 cabs, the RS 312 (is the correct one) and matches the serial plate.
The pictures are the ones as placed on the FMAQ portal on the "for sale" list.

Someone had switched the engine for a 2 cylinder but RS 312 is 312cc CCW 19.5 hp, 1 cylinder.
It is a 1972 model.  The original RS312 cab was too damaged  and someone put the RC 400 on it.
The machine was built and plated as RS 312
I have RS 312 cab in good shape that is going on it.
